What this policy covers
This policy covers the BurnCurve iOS app and this BurnCurve website, provided by Mythgate. It describes what information the app uses, where it stays, and the limited information processed outside the app.
Information stored on your iPhone
BurnCurve can store the following information locally:
- Body statistics you enter, including weight, height, age, sex used by the selected formula, and optional body fat.
- Weight samples and dietary energy imported from Apple Health with your permission.
- Active energy, resting energy, body fat, and step count imported from Apple Health with your permission.
- Your goal, selected pace, target weight, activity choices, appearance, units, and related settings.
- Adaptive TDEE estimates, uncertainty ranges, calorie targets, history, and guidance calculated on the device.
This information is not uploaded to Mythgate. BurnCurve does not create an account and does not sync this history through Mythgate, iCloud, or CloudKit.
Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional. When you grant permission, BurnCurve reads only the categories you approve so it can calculate or display the features you choose to use. Access is read-only. BurnCurve does not write, change, or delete Apple Health samples.
Imported Health data remains in BurnCurve's local app storage. Apple Health continues to hold its own copy under Apple's controls. You can review or revoke BurnCurve's permissions in the Health app or iPhone Settings.
BurnCurve does not use Health data for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or behavioral tracking. Health and nutrition values are never sent to RevenueCat as subscriber attributes.
Camera
Setup and Settings offer an optional hand measurement. It uses the front TrueDepth camera on iPhones that have one. BurnCurve reads the camera only while that screen is open, and only on your iPhone, to measure the width of your palm once.
BurnCurve keeps the width as a number. It does not store or send any photo, video, or depth data. You can skip the step, and BurnCurve then uses an average hand width. Camera access is optional, and you can turn it off in iPhone Settings.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes App Store purchases. BurnCurve uses RevenueCat to show the current paywall, determine whether BurnCurve Plus is active, and restore purchases.
RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase events such as product, subscription status, renewal, and restore activity. RevenueCat may process purchase history for app functionality and subscription analytics. BurnCurve does not give RevenueCat your name, email address, weight, intake, body fat, Apple Health data, goal, target, or guidance.
Apple and RevenueCat handle purchase information under their own policies. BurnCurve does not receive your full payment-card details.
Support messages
If you email support, Mythgate receives your email address and the information you choose to include. This information is used to respond, diagnose the reported issue, and keep a reasonable support record.
Please avoid sending health or nutrition details unless they are necessary to explain the issue. Support messages are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
This website
This website is served on Cloudflare infrastructure. BurnCurve does not place advertising cookies, run behavioral analytics, build advertising profiles, or sell visitor information. Cloudflare may process basic network and security data as needed to deliver and protect the site under its own privacy terms.
What we do not do
- We do not sell health, nutrition, purchase, support, or website data.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not use health or nutrition information to market products.
- We do not train an artificial intelligence model on your BurnCurve history.
Retention and deletion
Local app data
To remove BurnCurve and its local data, choose Delete App in iPhone Settings. Offload App can preserve documents and data, so offloading is not the same as deletion. Because BurnCurve has no cloud sync, deleted local history cannot be restored by Mythgate.
Apple Health data
Deleting BurnCurve does not delete samples already stored in Apple Health. Review or delete those samples through Apple's Health controls.
Purchase records
Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records as needed to manage subscriptions, restore access, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Support messages
You may ask Mythgate to delete a support conversation unless it must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an active dispute.
Security
BurnCurve limits external data handling by keeping sensitive app history on your iPhone. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your iPhone passcode and Apple Account secure, install iOS security updates, and avoid sharing sensitive details in support email.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when BurnCurve's features, vendors, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will change when a revised policy is published. Material changes will be presented in a reasonable way before they take effect when required.
